Lot 0491: RUSSIAN SOVIET NKVD KGB GENERAL PARADE UNIFORM
A Russian Soviet NKVD KGB General parade uniform with matching pants, a rare example of high-ranking Soviet state security regalia from the World War II era. Modeled after the 1943 uniform design, it represents the elite rank of General Lieutenant or Commissar of State Security, Second Rank, one of the highest positions within the NKVD, subordinate only to top leadership such as Lavrenty Beria himself. The tunic is adorned with silver-embroidered collar tabs and silver bullion shoulder boards featuring two gold stars. Its sleeves are trimmed with silver piping outlined in red, and the front is fastened by four gold-plated buttons. The uniform includes two side pockets and retains its original ribbon bar, displaying seven major Soviet decorations: the Order of Lenin, two Orders of the Red Banner, the Order of the Patriotic War Second Class, two First Class Orders of the Patriotic War, and the Order of the October Revolution.
