An antique handled brass-bound rosewood box with key lock by Wells and Lambe, an English manufacture of pocket-books, copying machines, portable writing desks and dressing cases. Regency era, ca. 1810s to 1840s. Engraved monogram GP on the cover. Meander inlay motif. The interior is lined with blue velvet, leather, and marble paper.
