A pair of antique apothecary footed hand enameled porcelain jars. The exteriors of the wares are adorned with hand painted designs depicting floral and foliage patterns, inscribed, Miele Ros Semplice, Sir Di Fiori di Papa, and figural curved and twisted handles. Circa: 19th century. Provenance: from the Lascoff Pharmacy. Lascoff was one of New Yorks great, classic pharmacies, the first licensed pharmacy in New York State. The story of Lascoff Drugs is detailed in two obituaries, those of Jacob Leon Lascoff, 1867 to 1943, and his son, Frederick D. Lascoff, 1900 to 1970.
