An antique Japanese late Meiji era decorative enamel plate. The interior of the plate is adorned with a polychrome image of a butterfly in blossoming flowers surrounded by floral, foliage and geometrical motigs made in the Cloisonne technique. The backside is decorated with floral, foliage, and geometrical ornaments made in the Cloisonne technique. Unmarked. Circa: the late 19th to the early 20th century.
