An ancient Egypt cast bronze Ibis sculpture with engraved details, raised on a rectangular wooden base. Modeled standing on two feet with an ovoid body, curved neck and long beak. Ibis are birds considered sacred in Ancient Egypt, as they were assimilated to the god Thoth, the god of wisdom, knowledge, and writing. Late Period, circa the 6th century BC.
