A vintage Russian Soviet aviation Society of Friends of the Air Fleet ODVF badge of the Northwestern Region, issued in the USSR in 1923. The enameled badge depicts a flying airplane against a background of a hammer and sickle beneath a red enamel star bearing the inscription USSR. At the bottom is a blue enamel ribbon with text. Marked on the reverse side Mondvor, the Mint, and numbered 22897. The Society of Friends of the Air Fleet was the first mass public organization in the USSR created to promote the development of the air fleet.
