Julien Celos, Belgian, 1884 to 1953, color etching and aquatint depicting a European street scene. Signed in pencil, lower right. Numbered in pencil, 298, lower left. Framed. Julien Celos is known for Misty landscape, townscape and waterside paintings with historic structures. Julien Celos was born in Antwerp, Belgium in 1884. He was a painter and watercolorist of urban views and interiors. He worked on motifs of historic villages and cities of Belgium and Holland. He traveled and painted as well in France, England and Tunisia. He was inspired by city of Bruges and painted images of its picturesque streets.
