A highly collectable porcelain pot lid, produced by F and R Pratt of Fenton, Staffordshire, one half of a pair from the War and Peace series, after the original painting by renowned artist, Sir Edwin Landseer. The original paintings were exhibited in the Royal Academy in 1846. The pot lid has a coloured transfer printed battleground scene showing a fallen horses and a soldier lying among the rubble and desecration of war.
