A vintage Russian Soviet gilt silver niello 4 piece wine set. Veliky Ustyug Artel Northern Niello, USSR, 1968 to 1969. The wine set is titled Korabliki, Ships and was first presented in the 1969 catalogue. The lot contains a round tray and three wine cups with gold-washed interiors. The surface of the cups is decorated with niello stylized images of northern sailing ships against a background of sea waves.
